The Wax Museum (Muzeum Figur Woskowych) is a small exhibition right by Niechorze lighthouse, on ul. Klifowa – about 120 m from the tower. It has been running since 2015: two rooms upstairs hold wax figures from history, film and music, plus painted 3D illusions for fun photos. A good short stop when you climb the lighthouse anyway, especially with children.
What you'll see
- Film and fairy-tale characters, among them Harry Potter, Shrek, Jack Sparrow and Gandalf.
- Historical figures and politicians such as Winston Churchill and Napoleon.
- Music stars such as Lady Gaga and Mick Jagger.
- 3D illusions you can pose in for photos – "painting" the Mona Lisa, for example.
The line-up of figures changes from time to time. The exhibition is small, so a visit doesn't take long.
When to come
It's a seasonal attraction, open from May to September, with the longest hours in July and August. Everything is indoors, so it also works on a rainy day.
