This is not the tavern at the Polmax marina (Leśna / Dziwna) — that's a different, seasonal bar for sailors. Here you're on the promenade.
This building used to be the Ostsee-Hotel (photos from 1935 and 1941, corner of Mickiewicza and Mała). In 1968 they were already photographing Restauracja Żeglarska on Mała — Fotopolska and kresy.org.pl trace the same place through to today's tavern.
The menu
They don't specialise in one cuisine. Orły and the venue's site describe a wide set: breakfasts, starters, soups, burgers, meats, fish (halibut keeps coming up in the descriptions), pizza, kids' dishes, lemonades, coffee, cocktails, beer and wine. Sajgon adds Polish, Mediterranean and international cooking plus vegetarian options. There are private events, catering and — in the Orły write-up — meal-prep boxes with delivery.
That's Żeglarska's job in town: one place “for everything”, from a waffle to a burger and fish, when you're not hunting a specific fry house.
What comes back in the reviews
Garlic soup, liver, beef cheeks, goulash with a potato pancake. Halibut with vegetables, cheeseburgers, Caesar salad in a large portion. Waffles with fruit — guests write about them plainly, including off-season. Someone came back three times in one week. Someone got an explanation of the prawn pasta ingredients at the table.
The other side: 30–60 minutes when the place is full, and bland fish ravioli; too few chips with the fried fish; one post about a two-hour queue and service “wandering around the room”. You can pay by card according to the directories, but reviews split — someone had trouble with the terminal, someone else was offered cash only. Bring both.
The average in the directories sits around 4.0–4.2 from over a thousand ratings (Orły / Biznes-TOP / Sajgon). Restaurant Guru gives Tripadvisor 3.5. Solid, no halo.
Prices get praised as reasonable, especially in winter. In summer, with the garden full, count on a queue. Guests who landed here in February or March write it straight: little else is open, and Żeglarska has the lights on.
In practice
There's a garden, a bar, seats inside, takeaway works. Directories agree on outdoor tables, a kids' menu, high chairs and wheelchair access. Dogs — outside. Booking is sometimes possible; safest to call.
