Marina Dziwnów at 30 Żeromskiego Street is located on the Dziwna River, between the drawbridge and the fishing port. It's a year-round harbor and one of the more distinctive spots on the West Pomeranian Sailing Trail.
What makes the marina stand out?
The harbor basin is shaped like the letter D, which refers to the name Dziwnów. The marina can accommodate about 60 vessels up to 12 meters long, and the depth of the basin and approach channel is about 3.5 m.
But it's not just a place for sailors. There are benches and walking areas around the basin, so it's worth coming here even without a yacht - to sit by the water, watch the boats and masts, or просто take a peaceful walk along the Dziwna River. It's especially nice in the evening, when the light reflects off the water and the moored vessels.
The drawbridge right next door
A few hundred meters away is Dziwnów's characteristic drawbridge. In season, it opens regularly for passing vessels, which is a fascinating sight in itself. If you're there at the right time, it's worth stopping to watch the movable span rise.
Sailing Dziwnów
The marina is also an important point on the region's sailing map. Dziwnów has hosted, among other events, world championships in the Laser Radial and Optimist classes, and today many national and international regattas take place here. If you happen to be here during a competition, the marina and the river can fill up with dozens, and sometimes hundreds, of sails.
For sailors
Power and water hookups are available at the piers, and the building has restrooms, showers, and a laundry room. The marina also offers facilities for winter storage of yachts.
