Lobster (Pogorzelica)

Pogorzelica

Our tip: Fish and seafood, plus pizza from the stone oven – good quality and a lovely setting.

Lobster is at Wojska Polskiego 7a/43, on the main street through Pogorzelica – not right at a beach entrance, but where you pass anyway, on the way to the bakery or back from the sea. The local portal pogorzelica.com.pl describes it as a Mediterranean bar: lobster in butter and fish from the wood-fired oven. In the reviews, however, guests praise the fish and the pizza more than the lobster – the name promises lobster, but day to day it's mainly about the oven and fresh fish.

What you eat here

You can see the wood-fired oven from the dining room. Guests like that the fish comes out of the oven right before their eyes. Mentioned again and again:

  • fish from the oven (the most frequently recommended dish),
  • pizza with a thin, crispy base from the same oven,
  • shrimp,
  • pasta with shrimp,
  • potato pancake with goulash (placek po węgiersku),
  • nuggets for kids.

Lobster in butter counts as the specialty. Guests describe the prices as "fair for the portion", some even as low for the quality.

Who it's for

Guests praise the decor and the service, families the portions, couples the relaxed mood. There's a garden, takeaway and a bar (beer, wine, cocktails, coffee). There are high chairs, the entrance is wheelchair-accessible, and dogs are welcome.

The owner cooks himself and, according to reviews, also comes to the table: he chats, explains the fish and doesn't hide in the kitchen. If you like places like that, this is the right one for you.

Practical info

Pogorzelica lives with the season, and the opening hours change – it's best to take a quick look at Google Maps before the whole group sets off hungry from the beach.

Don't confuse it with the hotel restaurants at the aquapark: Lobster is a small, independent place on Wojska Polskiego – you come here to eat, not to stay overnight.
