Paragliding launch site on the cliff (Trzęsacz)

Trzęsacz

On the cliff between Trzęsacz and Rewal, paragliders launch next to a concrete "bunker". The "bunker" is really the foundation of a German Würzburg Riese radar from the Second World War. It sits on ul. Lotniarzy in Trzęsacz, right by the path along the cliff edge, about 430 m from the church ruins. When the wind blows in from the sea, colourful wings glide above the beach – you can watch, or fly in a tandem.

What you can do

  • Ridge soaring along the cliff: in good wind pilots fly as far as the Niechorze lighthouse and Dziwnówek.
  • A tandem flight with a pilot takes about 15 minutes; you take off from the cliff and land on the beach or back on the cliff. No experience needed; minors fly only with a guardian's consent and in their presence.
  • Watching from the cliff path is free.

When to go

Everything depends on the wind: it has to come from the sea, from the north-west, neither too weak nor too strong. Nobody flies in rain, thunderstorms or strong wind. Tandem flights are offered mainly on the May long weekend and in the summer holidays. There is no fixed time – whether anyone is flying today you will only see on the spot.

Practical

  • Where: ul. Lotniarzy, Trzęsacz – walk along the cliff path from the church ruins or from Rewal.
  • For the flight: sturdy trainers and a windproof jacket.
