Kurna Chata

Świnoujście

Kurna Chata at 20 Marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego Street in Świnoujście is a place for anyone craving classic Polish cuisine in a rustic, homely interior. Wood, handmade crafts, traditional decorations and hearty portions create the atmosphere of an old inn, but the menu itself hasn't stayed stuck in the past.

This is the first Kurna Chata in Świnoujście, operating since 2003. There are also other venues with the same name nearby, but this address is the original one.

What should you order?

Guests most often recommend:

  • pierogi
  • żurek, also served in bread
  • pork cutlet
  • crepes
  • fish dishes
  • cabbage rolls with cod
  • herring with cranberries
  • fermented pork cutlet

The kitchen is based on Polish flavors, but some dishes have a more original, signature character. Fish is one of the restaurant's strong points, and it was one of the first places in Świnoujście to receive the My Fish certificate.

For families and more

There's a separate kids' menu, and some homemade products such as lard, preserves, and honey from local suppliers can also be bought to take away.

There's a garden area, Wi-Fi, and parking on site. Pets are welcome, and card payments are accepted.

Good to know

Kurna Chata is popular and can fill up quickly in high season. If you want a specific table or are coming with a larger group, it's worth booking in advance or arriving a little early.

It's a great choice if you're looking for solid Polish food, big portions, and a more traditional atmosphere than you'll find on the promenade.
